kunsttour 2008

During the 9th edition of ‘Kunsttour’‘ in Maastricht, the Netherlands, Galerie Groen Licht is one of the three headlocations. The weekend of 24/25 th of may is an open art weekend with more than 50 locations, open for free to the public. More than 300 artists are parcticipating with paintings, installations, multi-media work, open discussions, only a few aspects of the weekend.
This year the theme is contemporary art that came up from the underground, for a city like Maastricht it’s quite something because it’s a very beholding and sometimes a too much conservative city. Most of the galleries only represent the astablished artists, maybe because it’s ‘‘safe’‘ for them.
Our gallery works with the younger professional artists, at the ‘‘Kunsttour’‘ we present selected works from :

Clemens wolf (AU)
Collin van der Sluijs (NL)

The official opening from the Kunsttour 2008 will be held at our gallery, and starts at 16.00 on the 22nd of may.

The last couple weeks of have been quite hectic, preparing for various exhibitions in june and july in Paris and Barcelona for ‘‘Untitled Documents’‘ www.untitled-documents.com
Together with Rutger Termohlen and Bitches In Control we’re gonna do a show in gallery L’issue in Paris and 4 days of live painting.
